counselling

BIJAK Counselling provide philosophical counselling, psychotherapy and life coaching in Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia for children, teenagers (adolescents), adults, elderly people, couples and groups.

BIJAK Counselling helps individuals to understand themselves and their world, live their lives more fully and deal with their personal (‘mental’) problems.

BIJAK counsellors and therapists believe that most people’s everyday problems should be addresed by examining their beliefs, perspectives, values, experiences, emotions, desires, priorities and goals through Philosophical Dialogue – NOT by looking at their brain’s chemistry or their childhood traumas.

The goal of our consultation is to solve clients’ problems ASAP so that they can get on with their life. Depending on specific cases, this can be achieved within a single session or after a series of sessions.

BIJAK Counselling does not deal with serious mental health issues such as autism, bipolar and schizophrenia. Clients suffering from such issues will be referred to a psychiatrist.

BIJAK Counselling incorporates philosophical, psychological and life coaching methods to find effective solutions to a whole range of life issues.
